Conference in National and University Library of Iceland April 27-28, 2017
The National and University Library of Iceland and IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) will hold a two-day conference on April 27-28, 2017. Topics of the conference are, amongst others: “From printed newspapers to born-digital news, libraries and other cultural heritage institutions have a central role in ensuring future access to news content. This conference will examine issues and challenges in collecting and preserving the news and making it available to users. For example, do access and preservation have different prerequisites?” Speakers are from national and university libraries, researchers in digital humanities, journalist, and archivists from news agencies.
