Sigvaldi Kaldalóns

Exhibition in the National Library

An exhibition about composer Sigvaldi Kaldalóns was opened at the National and University Library 24 May. The exhibition is in cooperation of the Kaldalóns Memorial Fund, the Snjáfjallasetur Heritage Centre and the National and University Library of Iceland. The original exhibition was set up by Snjáfjallasetur in Dalbær on Snæfjallaströnd in 2004, and was later installed in Ísafjörður and Hólmavík. At the exhibition guests will be able to listen to Kaldalóns´ recorded music, which is preserved in the Sound Archive of the National and University Library of Iceland, and the composer's sheet-music, which was first published about 100 years ago.

The exhibition closes 3 April 2018.
