Open access week 2023

10.10.2023

The International Week of Open Access 2023 will be held on October 23rd-29th 2023. This year's program is particularly diverse, thanks to the Icelandic Library Fund, which generously supported the week. It is the University Libraries' Open Access/Open Science Work Group which has organised the week in Iceland.

The program and registration forms can be accessed here (please note that you must register for each event): https://opinnadgangur.is/vika-opins-adgangs-2023/

There are four webinars held in English and they all take place on TEAMS, as well as a seminar (in Icelandic) on October 25th which will be held in Gróska. The seminar can also be accessed on TEAMS.

Open science/open access is an issue that concerns all researchers, and during the week we will be joined by foreign speakers and experts.

TEAMS webinars:

  • Open Access and Creative Commons licenses in the light of copyright
  • Rights Retention Policy at the University of Edinburgh, a review of the first 18 months
  • Open access to research data in practice
  • Research Assessment

The seminar on October 25th is intended for researchers and others interested in open access/open science and we would like to have as many young researchers attend as possible.

Program:

  • To publish in open access
  • Experience of researchers
  • Bullying magazines – publishing in trusted magazines
  • Preprints – CC license
  • Discussions and refreshments

Remember to register for each event.
