The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, the National Library and Saga Forlag recently signed a contract for Web publishing rights for translations of the Icelandic sagas in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. With this contract, the translations will be made fully accessible in open access as of 2025.

The contract was signed by the minister, Illugi Gunnarsson, the national librarian, Ingibjörg Steinunn Sverrisdóttir and the CEO of Saga Forlag, Jóhann Sigurðsson.
