Researchers

We aim to provide researchers working with our collections with first-rate research facilities. The National and University Library of Iceland has the largest research library in Iceland and a large reference section on the main floor. Wireless Internet is available to all guests everywhere in the building. A few desktop computers are provided for guests.

On the ground floor (accessed from the main floor) there are the reading rooms of the national and manuscript collections. All items here are provided for on-site use only. These materials include the large manuscript collection, various specialised and private libraries and documents, and all Icelandic printed material.
